Sheep, sheep, sheep! We just love our Katahdins! Easy to care for, and very loving. All of our ewes have birthed, so our pastures are brimming with lambs! What FUN! We have several rams lambs for sale, either for breeding purposes, or as freezer lambs. Call if you are interested!

Welcome to the RFF Homestead...
A new addition to our farm this past year was our colony of Italian honey bees! Dale has become quite a beekeeper...and we have sold out of every drop of raw Alfalfa-honey he harvested! We processed 2 gallons this year, and hope to add several additional hives next year. Beekeeping is also very educational. Patrick won a Superior award at the Illinois State Fair with his project on Dale's beekeeping adventure! Praise God!
Thanks to all of you who have been waiting patiently for news of our Rat Terrier pups. We have a new litter coming soon.....due mid June! Last litter was gorgeous.... beautiful tri's with wonderful temperments. Our dogs, Weaver (coonhound), Rosa (Shep x), Obie (Great Pyr), Frank and Jo (Ratties) are a big asset to our farm, and we love them!
They keep the livestock and birds safe, keep the kids safe, and are great to let us know the minute anyone pulls in the drive.

SPRING Farm News...
Spring is finally here! It's our favorite time of year and we love it! Why, you ask??? Because all of our babies come in the spring! Most of our goatie girls have delivered, and blessed us with a fantastic crop of future "Dairy Queens"! The sheep are also producing some gorgeous lambs, including a pinto ram lamb that is just adorable! There is NOTHING cuter than a newborn goat or lamb! Our poultry have also been productive, and we have even added a new brooder room/chicken house to our farm to accomodate all of the feathered babies! We have many of new pullets, who should be laying by mid-summer, as well as LOTS of goslings and turkeys. We are currently accepting deposits ($10) on Thanksgiving turkeys. We sold out quickly last year, so if you are interested, let us know NOW so we are sure to have one for you! We also have some breeding stock turkeys and adorable African goslings for sale.
Have you been out to visit? We have hosted groups from Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Easter Seals. We enjoy company, and love to educate "city slickers" on the joys of farm life. Stop by some time! See ya' soon! :-)
